Hi, my name is Agnes and I’m a designer living in Vancouver, Canada.
My diverse journey in the fashion industry started more than a decade ago when I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my fashion design degree at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in various aspects, from conceiving concepts and sourcing materials to producing garments, visual merchandising, sales, and product quality testing. I’m continually open to learning new design methods and approaches. About this photo: During my visit to Seoul in 2023, I had the unique opportunity to capture this moment at the Blue House, South Korea’s equivalent of the White House, which had been closed to the public for 75 years. I was struck by the sight of these women diligently tending to the fields. Their dedication was evident, making the landscape beautiful, whether or not the public saw their efforts. In that rare moment, they stood out like vibrant pink flowers against the lush green grass and bluest sky. I saw a reflection of myself in these women as well, working behind the scenes with others to create something beautiful.
